POSITION SUMMARY

Wood Process & Energy is seeking a skilled Lead Control & Instrumentation Engineer for a long-term contract role. This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility with a minimum of two days in the office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will report directly to the Head of C&I Engineering, playing a vital part in the execution of Control & Instrumentation scopes throughout all phases of projects.

  • Deliver practical and effective technical solutions to operational engineering challenges.
  • Assess both existing and prospective manufacturers for technical proficiency and compliance.
  • Conduct technical studies on project-related issues and compile reports for presentation to technical and management teams.
  • Review engineering and design proposals for significant projects.
  • Develop and refine engineering documentation, including procedures, standards, and specifications (FEED & EPC).
  • Oversee the creation of Instrument/Control Engineering deliverables tailored to specific project needs.
  • Manage small to medium-scale projects, including estimates, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Review and approve engineering and design outputs following established corporate protocols.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff while supporting work groups.
  • Participate in HAZOP/SIL assignments and demonstrate knowledge of IEC 61511.
  • Collaborate effectively with design engineers, operations teams, procurement, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Engage with clients, suppliers, contractors, and relevant authorities.
