Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Beeby Anderson Recruitment. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for a leading international design consultancy in Central London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for assigned projects, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other design elements.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of company procedures and standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, with a strong understanding of building mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Foundational technical understanding of building mechanical engineering discipline and an appreciation of the role of the environmental engineer within the design team.
  • Developing understanding of other engineering disciplines engaged in the design of the built environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the integrated design process environment.
  • Proficiency in engineering software, including Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn new software tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, to create reports and presentation material.
  • Working knowledge of core technical guidance published by ASHRAE and CIBSE.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Desirable:
  • International project experience.
  • Awareness of UK and International design standards.
  • Ability to use software applications, such as IES or other dynamic simulation tools, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam.
