About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Residential Childcare Worker at our new service, The Whistlestop. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting and caring for children and young people with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Work closely with the children, understanding their individual needs and developing personalized care plans.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Participate in sleep-ins and waking night shifts, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the needs of the children.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, with the ability to apply them in practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, colleagues, and external partners.
  • A full driving license with business class insurance or the ability to demonstrate how you meet the mobility requirements of the role.
