About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN teaching assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and severe learning disabilities (SLD).
About the School
The school caters for approximately 300 students, all with SLD and PMLD, between the ages of 3 and 19. We are looking for a full-time member of staff who will be committed to providing long-term support and potentially transitioning to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective support to ensure the needs of students with PMLD and SLD are met.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Support students in their daily routines, including personal care and mobility.
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with complex needs.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
- Hold a Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide professional-related references.
