Position Overview:
As a member of the Learning Support Staff, your role will be to provide vital assistance to students requiring extra help in their educational pursuits. Collaborating closely with educators and other professionals, you will contribute to creating an inclusive and nurturing atmosphere that empowers students to overcome obstacles and thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group support tailored to students' unique learning requirements.
  • Assist in the execution of customized learning strategies aimed at promoting students' academic advancement.
  • Collaborate with teachers to modify lessons and classroom activities to accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Encourage a positive and supportive learning environment, ensuring every student feels valued and included.
  • Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN), learning challenges, or other educational barriers.
  • Track student progress, offering constructive feedback to educators and adjusting support strategies as necessary.
  • Help with classroom management, preparation of resources, and other tasks as assigned by the teacher.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a Learning Support capacity or a similar educational environment is preferred.
  • Relevant educational qualifications or certifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) are beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a supportive demeanor.
  • Capability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Dedication to fostering students' academic and personal success.

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of a permanent role in the future.
