Job Title: SEN Tribunals Officer

Join Adecco as a SEN Tribunals Officer and contribute to the defense of Local Authority decisions before the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDIST).

About the Role:

The SEN Tribunals Officer will work as part of the Tribunals Team to ensure that appropriate provision is in place for all children and young people who have registered appeals. This role requires the ability to gather evidence from professionals across Education and use it to defend Local Authority decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the Local Authority in oral hearings before the SENDIST
  • Ensure that appropriate provision is in place for children and young people who have registered appeals
  • Collaborate with professionals across Education to gather evidence
  • Use evidence to defend Local Authority decisions
Requirements:

This role requires strong communication and advocacy skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the SEND code of practice and the ability to apply it in a tribunal setting.
