Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Specialist Tutor to deliver tailored 1:1 tuition to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who require alternative education arrangements.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic tutor to support children and young people with SEND in a 1:1 setting, helping them to re-engage with their learning and overcome barriers to education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bespoke 1:1 tuition packages to young people with SEND
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet individual needs and learning styles
  • Support pupils to build confidence, develop skills, and achieve academic and personal goals
  • Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support
  • Monitor progress, provide regular feedback, and adapt teaching strategies as needed

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience working with children with SEND in a classroom or care environment
  • Ability to think creatively, be patient, and adapt to individual needs
  • Enhanced DBS certificate and right to work in the UK
  • Two professional child-related references
