Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing optimal Ubuntu integrations for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.
  • Collaborating with partners to ensure a superior Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
  • Taking a comprehensive approach to the Ubuntu experience on partner platforms, contributing to technical plans, testing strategies, and quality metrics.
  • Serving as the technical lead on customer engagements involving complete system architectures from cloud to edge.
  • Assisting partners in integrating their applications, SDKs, building device OS images, and optimizing applications with Ubuntu Core, Desktop, and Server.
  • Working with the most advanced operating systems and application technologies available in the enterprise landscape.

You will engage with customers on innovative IoT, desktop, and server platforms and technologies, designed to support various verticals, including robotics, data centers, telecommunications, retail, and automotive.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for technology and collaboration with exceptional individuals.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
  • Experience with Linux packaging (Debian, RPM, Yocto).
  • Familiarity with open source communities and licensing.
  • Proficiency in Python, C, and C++.
  • Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team with self-discipline and motivation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with server technologies, including UEFI firmware, GPU computing, RDMA/Infiniband, and virtualization stacks.
  • Knowledge of graphics stacks.
  • Understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and DHCP.
  • Basic knowledge of security best practices in IoT or server environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with public speaking experience being a plus.
  • IoT/Embedded experience, covering aspects from board and SoC to bootloaders and firmware.
  • Familiarity with CI automation platforms like GitHub.
  • Experience in performance benchmarking and profiling.
  • Some exposure to Docker/OCI containers/Kubernetes.
