Job Title: Year 6 Teacher

Zest Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate primary school teacher to join our team as a Year 6 teacher. This is a part-time position, working 3 days a week, with the opportunity to build a long-lasting relationship with the school and achieve a great work-life balance.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and committed teacher to support the Year 6 pupils as they transition into secondary education. The ideal candidate will be able to motivate the children and provide a stimulating curriculum that supports all their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, document, and report on the growth, achievement, and development of the students in your class.
  • Support students in SAT preparation.
  • Provide an engaging learning environment and give lessons that are effective in order to help the students meet high academic standards.
  • Establish a good rapport with parents, governors, teachers, and students in order to support the school's operations.
  • Support whole school improvement by ensuring that policies and procedures are applied consistently to all students in the year group.
  • Set strict guidelines for conduct and disciplinary measures in compliance with school policy.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Successful DBS and safeguarding clearance.
  • Have a secure understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Experience of teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Have an appetite to challenge and the ability to inspire enthusiasm and confidence in others.
  • A wide range of IT skills that will be used daily within this role.

Zest Education Ltd is an REC audited agency and is dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

The salary for this position is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.

This is a temporary supply work position.
