Clinical Practice Manager - Primary & Walk-in Care Spotlight

The Clinical Practice Manager will be the primary resource person to the clinical support team members regarding clinical questions, training opportunities, policy and protocol development, and ensuring the efficiency and professionalism of the Primary & Walk-in Care office at Waldo County General Hospital.

This position will exercise independent judgement to assess patient needs and work collaboratively with peers and with a multidisciplinary team - the Medical Staff, Providers, Nursing Staff, Administration, and Support Services to provide safe, quality care to patients and ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of clinical support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Medical and Administrative leadership to develop strategic plans for practice areas.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure the efficient use of resources and effective management of budgets.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of progressively advanced management experience in a hospital outpatient practice environment.
  • Internal Medicine/Subspecialty Medicine experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.

MaineHealth policy requires all care team members to be vaccinated, including for Covid-19 and influenza, subject to eligibility for medical or religious exemptions which can only be granted in compliance with applicable law.
