Position Overview:
The Management Accountant at Elite Group plays a crucial role in delivering accounting assistance and collaborating with various departments.
Your responsibilities will include engaging with essential stakeholders to facilitate the timely generation of financial data and leading finance-related projects across the organization.
You will take ownership of the management accounts, working closely with the Group Financial Controller and the broader team to proactively pinpoint and implement enhancements in reporting, processes, and controls to mitigate risks while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the Management Accounts for Elite Group Companies, including Mobile statutory entities.
- Serve as the primary finance liaison for Elite Group, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Complete monthly management accounts and create the finance pack, including precise and insightful commentary within the month-end timeline for review by the Group FC.
- Identify critical business KPIs for inclusion in monthly finance reports.
- Contribute to the development of the Elite Group budgets and forecasts, aligning with the NTG Group position.
- Assess financial risks and opportunities within Elite Group and their potential impact on the organization.
- Conduct monthly data warehouse reconciliations and comprehend the implications regarding product profitability challenges.
- Support Group cash flow reporting, analyzing cash positions against budget/forecast expectations and providing feedback for process improvements.
- Complete, review, and challenge balance sheet reconciliation items to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and tax calculations for Elite Group.
- Support the year-end audit process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely account sign-off.
- Aid in the development of budgets and re-forecasts in collaboration with the wider team.
- Assist in the completion of Elite Group VAT returns.
- Engage in company-wide projects, taking responsibility for assigned tasks and collaborating with other departments as necessary.
- Help maintain documentation of business processes, creating new process documentation as required to support a controlled environment.
- Continuously evaluate processes and procedures to identify areas for enhancement, particularly in task automation and efficiency improvements.
- Provide temporary coverage for team members as needed.
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the board or Group Financial Controller.
