About the Role

Nexgen Group is seeking a skilled Evening Cleaner to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our office site in the Northampton area.

This is a part-time position, initially for 2 hours per evening (5pm-7pm, 10 hours pw), with opportunities for paid overtime to cover holidays and other absences.

We are looking for an individual with prior professional cleaning experience, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dust, damp wipe or wash walls, skirting boards, handrails, ledges, window sills, radiators, lifts, doors and frames to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Sweep floors with brushes or dust control mops to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Mop floors with wet or damp mops to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Hover carpeted areas to prevent dust and dirt accumulation.
  • Empty waste bins or similar receptacles and transport waste material to designated collection points.
  • Mix cleaning supplies in the correct quantities for safe use.
  • Replenish consumable items such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels.
  • Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, and sinks to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
  • Clean communal kitchen areas to ensure a safe and clean environment.

Requirements:

  • Prior professional cleaning experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy cleaning equipment and supplies.
