Job Title: Interim Finance Director

Finatal is seeking a commercially focused and strategic Finance Director to lead their finance function and contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.

Role Overview:

This is a high-impact role, working closely with the CEO, CFO, and private equity investors to drive financial strategy, operational improvements, and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Financial Strategy: Align with the company's long-term business objectives and growth plans.
  • Lead and Mentor Finance Team: Ensure the development of strong financial controls, efficient processes, and a high-performing finance function.
  • Prepare and Present Financial Reports: Ensure clear communication of key financial metrics, KPIs, and business performance to the board and private equity investors.
  • Oversee Budgeting and Forecasting: Ensure accuracy, strategic alignment, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and Optimize Cash Flow: Support ongoing operational and investment needs.
  • Manage Private Equity Investor Relationships: Provide regular updates on financial performance, value creation opportunities, and support the execution of exit strategies.
  • Ensure Financial Controls: Adhere to statutory reporting requirements, tax regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Partner with Senior Management: Provide financial insights, assess investment opportunities, and support key decision-making across the business.
  • Support Mergers and Acquisitions: Include financial due diligence, structuring, and post-deal integration.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • ACA or equivalent
  • Experience in a business backed by an institutional fund (PE or VC)
  • Extensive experience in a senior finance leadership role
  • Excellent commercial awareness, with the ability to influence decision-making at a senior level and drive business performance
