Job Title: Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care and support to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the team's overall strategy.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Assist with the daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Monitor and report any changes in a young person's behaviour or well-being, ensuring their safety and security.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Have a full UK driving licence and access to a car, as this role involves regular travel.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people and their families.
  • Ability to work well as part of a small team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the service.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
