Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Communication
    • Conduct structured morning meetings with the team to ensure clear communication of targets and objectives.
    • Build and maintain direct relationships with customers, providing clear communication on all aspects of day-to-day operations.
    • Escalate relevant issues promptly to the Production Manager.
  • Safety and Risk Management
    • Collaborate with the H&S officer and committee to reduce risks in the area through effective risk assessments.
    • Ensure a safe working environment for staff through regular safety controls audits.
    • Investigate accidents and enforce all safety controls in the area.
  • Quality and Performance
    • Carry out full investigations and provide clear, accurate responses to customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
    • Ensure accurate internal data capture and daily logging and recording of reject data within the QA System.
    • Conduct audits to ensure all work in the area meets company standards.
  • Cost and Efficiency
    • Implement actions to reduce or mitigate off-track hours against the visual plan.
    • Accurately record planned downtime, including classroom training and project time.
    • Ensure team engagement with targets and objectives.
  • Delivery and Customer Satisfaction
    • Develop a visual plan for the team aligned with the work-to-list, outlining expectations for each team member.
    • Advocate for the customer and uphold the promised delivery date.
    • Keep customers and systems fully updated on any delays and expected planned dates.
  • People and Performance Management
    • Manage staff performance through the QCD measures to achieve and then improve company standards.
    • Reward and recognize good performance.
    • Optimize workgroup efficiency through effective time/attendance management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in a production or operations environment.
  • Knowledge of SQCDP measures and quality management systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
