We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our team at 5 Star Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working with children and families to address their social, emotional, and environmental needs.
Main Responsibilities:- Assess the risks and needs of vulnerable children and deliver services to improve their quality of life.
- Co-ordinate services that enable the best outcome for children, young people, and their families/carers, ensuring the appropriate use of resources.
- Work in partnership with children and families to formulate plans, taking into account their wishes and needs.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of the child/young person is paramount, gathering and analysing all necessary information to complete assessments.
- Represent the Authority in court, attend meetings, and participate in the supervision process.
- Collect and maintain accurate records, updating appropriate systems in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Ability to work self-sufficiently, applying relevant legislation, policy, procedures, and social work theory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyse information to inform decision-making.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and procedures, including the Children Act 1989 and the Care Act 2014.
