The Ministry of Defence Guard Service (MGS) is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of Defence personnel and property. This role is pivotal in safeguarding against various threats, including crime and terrorism, by delivering exceptional security services characterized by professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the safety and security of assigned areas through vigilant monitoring and patrols.
- Control access to sites, ensuring that all individuals possess the necessary credentials.
- Conduct thorough searches of vehicles, personnel, and premises as required.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, escalating situations to law enforcement when necessary.
- Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarms.
- Complete detailed reports on security breaches and maintain daily logs.
Work Schedule
This position requires shift work, totaling 48 hours per week, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays as per the unit's operational needs. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, with potential changes communicated in advance.
