Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team at Orion Group. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods and materials within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out stowing and de-stowing in palletised and racked warehouse
  • Drive forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment
  • Load and unload Trailer Locked Vehicles (TLVs)
  • Keep paperwork in order and check paperwork
  • Conduct stocktaking and bar coding
  • Open and close warehouse doors
  • Filing in dangerous good documents for tankers and TLV's
  • Maintain housekeeping around the site and in warehouses
Requirements:
  • Driving licence (essential)
  • Forklift truck experience (desirable)
  • Previous warehouse experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of mechanical handling equipment (desirable)
  • Reporting and problem-solving skills
  • Organisational and prioritising skills
  • Strong communication skills
