About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Dexory, a leading innovator in logistics data solutions. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in setting up, programming, and operating our machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputise and support the CNC Production Technical lead
  • Safely and efficiently operate CNC machines to produce components as per engineering drawings
  • Work with engineering on new designs and provide input for design for manufacture
  • Be a primary resource for programming
  • Schedule work and allocate tasks
  • Choose appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures for each job
  • Provide inspection resource for both first article and interim checks
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and report any issues to the maintenance department
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems during the machining process
  • Follow general organisational procedures, such as 5S
  • Ensure all safety guidelines and protocols maintain a safe working environment
  • Keep on top of documentation of machine setup, tooling, and production data
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to achieve production goals and resolve technical issues
  • Give guidance to less experienced team members and educate when necessary
Requirements
  • Experience with CNC milling and turning and CNC programming
  • Knowledge of G-code and CAM software (we use Fusion 360, prior experience not essential)
  • Knowledge of Solidworks would be advantageous but not essential
  • Experience with quality control
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
