Job Summary: As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and planning nursing care requirements for patients with mental health needs, providing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and plan nursing care requirements for patients with mental health needs, taking into account their individual needs and circumstances.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including medication administration, to support patients in their recovery and promote their overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of patients.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and interventions, making adjustments as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Support patients in their recovery, promoting their independence and autonomy, and providing education and guidance to help them manage their mental health.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports, ensuring that all relevant information is recorded and communicated to other healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • Participate in staff training and development activities, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in mental health care.
Requirements:
  • RMN qualification and UK NMC PIN.
  • Experience working in mental health settings, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by patients with mental health conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, with a strong commitment to providing person-centred care.
