Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include the development and upkeep of our surveillance and monitoring systems. You will also oversee new cases and/or outbreaks of prevalent infections, along with other IPC tasks as they arise.
We provide on-the-job training in managing common infections, as well as a series of visits/shadowing opportunities to ensure a comprehensive experience. You will receive ample support and be part of a cohesive team.
Welsh language skills are preferred for this position; however, applications from both English and/or Welsh speakers are welcome.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
- Registered Nurse
- Proof of Registration with NMC and ongoing Professional Development
- Postgraduate education in Infection Prevention and Control or relevant experience with a commitment to pursue a recognized qualification within one year
Experience
Essential
- Experience at a senior clinical level, demonstrating the ability to lead improvements in patient care
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of presenting effectively at meetings where specialized information is shared
Desirable
- Experience in developing educational training materials
- Experience in multi-agency collaboration and partnership working
- Experience in contributing to policy, planning, and service development
