About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Financial Planning Manager to join our team at GSF Car Parts. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting our business strategy and driving financial performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in communicating financial strategy issues and recommended changes to the Board.
  • Provide timely and relevant financial information to the Board to assess performance against our strategy and objectives.
  • Develop and implement financial KPIs to measure the success of our business and financial strategy.
  • Analyze competitor and market financial information to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Track performance against key targets and outcomes, and produce regular corporate-level management information for senior management and the Board.
  • Ensure that all routine management information is produced in a timely manner, contains reliable information, and has been agreed by key stakeholders.
  • Produce regular financial reporting to give an overview of business and financial performance, highlighting trends, key actions, and strategic implications.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and develop an effective planning and analysis capability to provide senior leadership with analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance.
  • Project manage the end-to-end delivery of financial forecasting processes, including the creation of quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Use the output of financial models and analysis to drive decision-making and communicate relevant messages across the business.
  • Produce professional reports and presentations summarizing forecasts for senior management and the Board.
  • Work with the Management Information (MI) team to provide intelligence to the business, converting data into meaningful information to inform decisions.
  • Coordinate the capital spending review process for the Group, including modeling the financial impact of significant business change proposals/plans.
  • Aid in the creation and development of ad hoc financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
  • Regularly review the methodology used to assess our risk capital requirements for measuring the Financial Strength of the Group.
  • Own and manage strategic financial risks, actively managing relevant risks within the Finance function.
  • Lead the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, including staff recruitment, staff development, performance management, and task management.
  • Proactively contribute to plans and priorities for the department.
  • Identify, develop, and retain future talent to support business growth.
  • Assist the CFO in respect of reports and presentations to the Board regarding financial issues and developments.
  • Work with the IT department to recommend suitable technology solutions to enhance our financial modeling and analysis capability.

About You

We are looking for a professional with a strong background in financial planning and analysis, preferably with a Director/Senior Manager role experience working at Executive level. You should have:

  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Education to degree level or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a complex financial environment, with strong modeling and analytic skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a positive approach to change.
  • A team player with the ability to work well and communicate with key stakeholders.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, while achieving defined targets.
  • The ability to understand the financial performance of a business and proactively produce financial reports.
