Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism and ADHD

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 'Good' primary school in the Romford area. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo to provide support to KS2 students with autism and ADHD traits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with autism and ADHD, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCo and teaching staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting materials to meet the needs of students with autism and ADHD.
  • Support students with social and emotional skills, promoting trust and confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress.
Requirements:
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant / SEND or Care qualification.
  • Experience working with autism and ADHD in a school or care-based setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and patiently with students who have SEN.
