Plant Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operator to join our Engineering department at Bio Products Laboratory Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring all utilities and services serving manufacturing processes, as well as controlling all operations and activities associated with the plant areas.
Key Responsibilities- Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the operation of HVAC systems, record parameters, and perform condition monitoring and low-level maintenance to maintain the reliability and performance of the plant.
- Boiler Operation: Operate and monitor boilers, compressors, refrigerant plant, stills, steam generators, and de-min plant, including water sampling and interpretation of results.
- Maintenance and Repair: Undertake minor maintenance tasks, including steam traps, water filters, air filters, valves, and draining and refilling of systems as required.
- Alarm Response: Respond to alarms by making necessary adjustments or escalating where required.
- Effluent Treatment: Respond to alarms for Effluent Treatment plant when required.
- Utility Systems: Inspect and replace water filters and other consumable items and utility systems.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain appropriate documentation, including revision of S.O.P.'s as necessary.
- Essential Skills: Ability to work with colleagues across multiple departments, ability to liaise with external contractors, ability to carry out internal audits, maintain various records and reports, ability to utilise O & M manuals and system drawings, ability to understand and follow complex oral or written instructions on power plant operation, GMP/GXP/GEMP experience, and demonstrable knowledge of air conditioning plant, water treatment plant, and L8 regulations.
- Desirable Skills: Ability to operate and regulate boiler plant equipment, skill in repairing and maintaining various types of steam plant equipment, experience in repair and maintenance of Steam raising plant, good pipefitting and plumbing skills, and awareness of current legislation affecting the carrying out of steam work.
