We are seeking a skilled Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team at Pertemps TM. As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for operating commercial HGV/LGV vehicles, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring loads are safely secured.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate commercial HGV/LGV vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
  • Load and unload goods, including manual handling
  • Ensure loads are safely secured and comply with transportation regulations
  • Follow instructions from traffic reports and navigate through various routes
  • Perform basic routine maintenance on vehicles
  • Responsible for delivery paperwork, PDA, and walk-around checks
  • Comply with compliance regulations and laws applicable to the role
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
  • Tachograph knowledge
  • Licence held for at least 6 months, with at least 60 days driving recorded on your tachograph
  • Clean driving record
  • Great work ethic and flexibility
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills:
  • Good understanding of transportation laws and regulations
  • Excellent operation of HGVs
  • Basic understanding of maintenance and repair of HGVs
  • Experience with GPS and tracking devices
