Position Overview: We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Policy Research Associate to become a vital part of our policy team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on a comprehensive program addressing NHS reform, investigating the influence of national policy mechanisms in fulfilling the objectives set by policymakers in England.
  • Engage in projects that examine the structure of the NHS, the implications of devolution, regulatory approaches, payment reform, and the broader political landscape surrounding health reform.
  • Contribute to understanding the evolution of Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) and their strategies for addressing health inequalities and the broader determinants of health.

Role Contributions: As a core member of our team, you will participate in a variety of projects, both short-term and long-term, which include:

  • In-house policy analysis and research.
  • Responsive work to emerging policy issues.
  • Development of projects for external commissioning.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess strong research capabilities, including:

  • Experience in synthesizing qualitative and quantitative research findings.
  • Ability to analyze diverse policy documents, grey literature, and official reports relevant to specific policy areas.
  • Skills in conducting in-depth interviews and coding qualitative data.

Team Collaboration: You will collaborate with other analytical teams within the Health Foundation to promote evidence-based policies in health and social care across the UK, ultimately contributing to improved population health.
