Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our High Dependency Unit, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and coordinate the daily operation of the critical care unit, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide expert clinical care to patients, using the NMC code of professional conduct and Trust guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals to ensure that care is delivered in a patient-centered manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in critical care nursing, participating in quality initiatives and audits as necessary.
- Supervise and educate staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the management of medical devices and resources, ensuring that they are used safely and effectively.
- Contribute to the development of care plans and policies, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with Trust objectives.

- Registered Nurse qualification and experience in critical care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Up-to-date knowledge of critical care issues and best practices.
