Job Title: Financial Controller

Net Consulting Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team in Cardiff. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and providing financial information to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and reconciliations.
  2. Manage daily cash flow and forecasts to ensure timely payments and optimal cash flow.
  3. Ensure statutory payments are made on time, including VAT, PAYE, Pensions, and Corporation Tax.
Key Accountabilities:
  1. Lead the finance department, including the Finance Assistant/Trainee Accountant.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely financial data is produced to reflect the company's financial position.
  3. Support the CEO in providing financial information and insights to inform business decisions.
  4. Provide regular debtors and creditors reports to stakeholders.
  5. Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department.
  6. Collaborate with external parties, including auditors, HMRC, suppliers, and customers.
  7. Provide financial information to internal departments as needed.
  8. Work closely with commercial and sales teams to ensure accurate tracking of sales reconciliations and gross profit margins.
  9. Assist in producing the annual budget and reporting on variances.
  10. Ensure sufficient funds are available in the Australian bank account at all times.
  11. Ensure timely completion of statutory payments.
Requirements:
  1. ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified accountant.
  2. Experience in interpreting and reporting financial information.
  3. Proficient in Sage Line 50.
  4. Strong understanding of financial management and control.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
