About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Night Coordinator at Potters Bar Clinic. As a Night Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the quality of nursing care for service users during night shifts, ensuring the service runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing leadership and support to nursing staff on night shifts across the service.
  • Undertake clinical supervision with night staff.
  • Identify any nighttime cost pressures and take steps to minimize their impact on the budget.
  • Manage staff allocation, redeployments, and daily numbers on the ward.
  • Work closely with the on-site staff coordinator to ensure adequate staffing is considered and booked for the night and day teams.
  • Provide statistics and reports as required by the Hospital Director/Deputy Hospital Director.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience as RMN/RNMH/RNLD.
  • First-level nurse with evidence of professional development, relevant skills, and knowledge.
  • Awareness of the wider Healthcare economy and political environment.
  • Relevant clinical experience in a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership skills.

Potters Bar Clinic provides 23 acute beds, across two wards for men and women who have enduring mental health problems. Service delivery is driven by the principles of rehabilitation and recovery and the belief that everyone has the capacity for both.
