Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Control Surveyor to join our team at JOB SWITCH LTD.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the organisation meets its statutory duty of enforcing the Building Regulations.

This role involves ensuring compliance with building regulations across various construction projects, including taking appropriate action on dangerous structures and proposed demolition works.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building control, with a minimum of 3 years of experience and a preference for Local Authority Building Control experience.

Additionally, the candidate should be registered with the Building Surveyors Registration Board (BSR) or working towards registration.

The role requires the ability to carry out a full range of duties, including plan checking and site inspections.

Flexibility in working hours and location is available, although site inspections will be conducted within Haringey.

The hourly rate will be reflective of the candidate's experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce building regulations across various construction projects
  • Take appropriate action on dangerous structures and proposed demolition works
  • Carry out plan checking and site inspections
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of building control experience
  • Local Authority Building Control experience preferred
  • BSR registration (Class 3) or working towards registration
