Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join our progressive school in Wokingham. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
  • Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational experience
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture

Requirements:

  • A qualified teacher status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent
  • Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs exams
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic results
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Patient, resilient, and a passion for teaching
  • A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues
