About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Planning Specialist to join our team at Binnies, a leading integrated environmental, engineering, and technical services business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust project plans, driving project teams to deliver to plan, and challenging any delays or deviations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Collaboratively develop and maintain detailed project plans for the delivery team, ensuring methodology is consistently followed and project scope is fully captured.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify opportunities and risks in the plan, monitor the critical path, and advise the delivery team on potential changes and lead challenge and mitigation actions.
  • Communication: Design and implement effective communication plans to ensure relevant teams and individuals are clear and buy into the strategy and approach.
  • Planning Standards: Ensure planning standards are maintained across the organization and published processes are adhered to.
  • Health and Safety: Appreciate and uphold health and safety standards in all planning processes, with a focus on ensuring all activities are conducted safely.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable experience working on relevant projects within the civil engineering sector, preferably in the water industry. You will require experience with P6 and have the ability to lead collaborative planning processes, interrogate information from drawings, and implement an efficient planning service to the business.

You will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences, work in pressurized situations to tight deadlines, and adapt as required to meet project objectives.
