Main Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Assistant, your primary duties will include assisting in the preparation of nutritious and appetizing meals, performing cooking tasks and other kitchen duties, and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas. You will also be responsible for washing utensils and dishes, rotating stock, and putting away deliveries. Additionally, you will handle and maintain kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures and use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in catering, preferably within a care setting. You will also need to hold a food hygiene certificate and have good personal hygiene standards. You should be enthusiastic, keen to learn, and an active team member. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative, as part of a team, and under supervision are also essential. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
