Payroll Manager

Primark is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team. As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing the payroll process for supported countries, ensuring timely and accurate processing, delivery, and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the payroll process from start to finish, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve payroll in line with compliance and control processes.
- Continuously improve payroll operations processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead new store implementations for payroll or other business projects.
- Manage the day-to-day operational relationship with payroll vendors and escalate any poor delivery performance.
- Ensure processing of bank files and payments to employees and third parties.
- Support labour inspections and payroll audits.
- Test system upgrades and new functionality rollouts.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Drawing up payroll calendars and deadlines.
- Oversee pension administration and returns.
- Assist with monthly reconciliation process.
- 7+ years payroll experience with some experience of managing people.
- Able to step in and out of day-to-day payroll activities to support the team.
- Detailed knowledge of tax regulations including year-end processes.
- Microsoft Excel knowledge to at least Intermediate level.
- Exceptional planning and organisation skills.
