Currently, we are seeking an Intermediate or Senior Building Services Engineer with a focus on electrical engineering to join our team.

This role encompasses providing engineering support to the practice, delivering specialized knowledge in M&E engineering within the built environment, and includes responsibilities in design and project management.


  • Ensure the successful execution of all projects to a high technical standard, within set timelines, and in accordance with budgetary constraints.
  • Undertake fee-generating responsibilities, actively engaging in scheme design when necessary, particularly in scenarios requiring advanced technical expertise.
  • Execute assigned tasks from the team leader, contributing to the development of effective engineering solutions that are cost-efficient.
  • Collaborate with clients to clarify project requirements and present budget estimates for their review.
  • Oversee site operations from initiation to completion in a project management capacity.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to specifications and finalize agreements on contractor accounts.
  • Conduct assessments of existing installations and produce condition reports.
  • Meet annual and monthly fee targets as established by the office partner.

Essential qualifications, skills, and attributes:

  • Degree or master's in Engineering.
  • Membership in the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and/or The Energy Institute (or equivalent) - Preferred.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Proficiency in IES (Mechanical) or Amtech (Electrical) design software.
  • Competence in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations, and industry best practices.
