Company Profile & Role Description

Pertemps Network Group is a prominent utility provider in the UK, catering to a diverse clientele across England, Scotland, and Wales. As a member of the Technical Engineering Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe design and implementation of various projects while contributing to significant technical decisions within the sector.

We are seeking a seasoned Technical/Project Engineer for a hybrid position, with a requirement for flexibility to travel to operational sites and client locations throughout the UK.

Note: A full UK driving license is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities of the Technical/Project Engineer:

  • Designing and obtaining approvals for installation projects and layouts for external clients.
  • Providing guidance on necessary equipment and tools for successful installations.
  • Consulting with clients on technical issues, including process safety, product knowledge, storage regulations, and maintenance protocols.
  • Effectively supporting incident investigations and initiatives aimed at quality enhancement.
  • Leading and actively participating in long-term projects.
  • Conducting liaison meetings with suppliers, clients, and partners.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Managing the Engineering Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Maintaining a robust understanding of industry best practices and completing required training as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Qualified to Chartered Engineer (CEng) level or actively pursuing this qualification.
  • A diverse technical background, ideally encompassing mechanical, process, and electrical engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety and risk management principles.
  • Experience in managing long-term projects is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
  • Self-motivated with the initiative to work independently.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with individuals from various backgrounds and levels of seniority.
  • Capacity to make prompt, clear decisions, including those involving challenging choices or considered risks.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex scenarios to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a methodical approach to work.
