About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Assistant to join our team at Randstad. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of primary school students aged 4-11.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers to provide support to students in a classroom setting, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to support their learning and development, providing regular progress feedback to teachers.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of educational activities, ensuring that students are engaged and motivated.
  • Provide support with pastoral care, including minor first aid and guidance on social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, caregivers, and parents to monitor student progress and provide updates on student development.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Grade C or above (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English.
  • An enhanced child DBS (which we can assist with, if already not held).
  • Behaviour management skills and classroom management skills.
  • Patience and ability to support pupils to understand teacher's lessons and engage with activities planned by the teacher.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not provided).
