We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary ASD Teacher to lead a class of 8 KS1 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a special primary school in the Bristol area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a class of 8 KS1 students with ASD, providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons, taking into account the individual needs of each student.
- Work closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to provide individualized support to each student.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants to develop their skills and confidence in supporting students with ASD.
- Contribute to the development of the school's special education provision, sharing best practices and expertise.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher with experience of teaching students with ASD.
- Strong knowledge of ASD and its impact on learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
