This is a permanent position or an opportunity for secondment.
The Adult Forensic Service at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two Consultant Forensic Psychiatrists to play a vital role in enhancing patient experiences and contributing to the evolution of our innovative care model.
These substantive roles are situated within our male medium secure and women's blended services at The Edenfield Centre.
While our new care model is being developed and definitive medical job planning is under review, it is expected that the post holders will serve as the Responsible Clinician for either male or female inpatients, managing their caseload from admission through to discharge.

Main Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a Consultant (Forensic) Psychiatrist. The position could be full-time within either our women's blended secure service or our male medium secure service. Each role offers the successful candidate the chance to contribute to the development of our new care model and to influence the future of secure services for both women and men in Greater Manchester.
You will be supported by a comprehensive and expanding team of multidisciplinary professionals, including a medical secretary, junior doctors, clinical psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and nursing staff. To ensure the physical health of our service users, we also have a visiting GP, dentist, and a well-established physical health team.
In addition to inpatient management, other clinical responsibilities will include on-call duties, access assessments to the service, and a variety of additional activities based on negotiations with consultant colleagues and our new care model.
