Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Claims Team Leader to join our Prestigious Insurance Company in Manchester. As a Claims Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a small team and overseeing the assessment and management of indemnity provided to policyholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management: Lead and manage a small team of claims professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of claims services.
  2. Claims Oversight: Take overall responsibility for and oversight of all claims handled within the team, ensuring that claims are assessed and managed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  3. Workload Management: Oversee the team's workload, ensuring that claims are processed efficiently and effectively.
  4. Policy Knowledge: Maintain a detailed knowledge of policy wordings and their application for all the varied classes of business handled.
  5. External Partnerships: Provide support with the oversight of external service providers and TPAs, ensuring that they are working effectively to support the claims process.
  6. Panel Management: Maximise the effectiveness of the panel, ensuring that claims are handled efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced Claims Team Leader with leadership experience within a commercial claims environment. Ideally, you will also hold a legal qualification to aid your interactions with both internal and external solicitors. Previous experience within the Legal Expenses market is not essential as full training will be provided, and you will be assigned a mentor to build your knowledge and confidence within this area.
