We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Classroom Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher to enable effective teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students in their learning, both on a 1-to-1 basis and in group scenarios
- Assess and accommodate individual learning needs of students
- Report progress of individual pupils
- Support the classroom teacher to manage behavior and keep children on task
- Encourage children to engage and communicate with teachers and their peers
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to develop their experience working with Special Educational Needs and Behavioural Needs. A graduate with a degree graded 2:2 or above is ideal for this role, and some previous experience working with children is desirable.
The Classroom Assistant role is a fantastic way to gain relevant experience and expand your skillset and knowledge. You will work closely with other teams of professionals and have the opportunity to network and develop your career.
Requirements:
- Confident and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children's learning
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage behavior and keep children on task
