About the Role:

Aldwych Consulting, a leading independent SME consultancy in the civil and structural engineering sector, is seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join their team in Birmingham. As a specialist in development infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing highways, drainage, and earthworks to support new and exciting developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop infrastructure projects, including highways, drainage, and earthworks, to support new developments.
  • Assist in the submission of planning applications and collaborate with clients and third parties to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Utilize industry-standard software, such as Civil 3D, InfoDrainage, or Causeway Flow, to create designs and models.
  • Identify and manage risks within your area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with design guides and standards.
  • Conduct site visits to review project constraints and the construction process, as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in designing highways or drainage to support developments.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard software, including Civil 3D, InfoDrainage, or Causeway Flow.
  • Awareness of design guides and standards.
  • Liaison with clients and third parties.
  • Identifying and managing risks within your area of responsibility.
  • Completing site visits to review project constraints and the construction process as required within schemes.
