HGV Class 1 Flatbed Operator

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Flatbed Operator for a role with our reputable client, Sterling Personnel LTD. This organization is known for its expertise in the nationwide logistics of steel and construction materials.
Working Hours:
The typical start time for this position will be between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM, with the operator expected to work between 45 and 50 hours across a standard five-day workweek.
Key Responsibilities:
The HGV Class 1 Flatbed Operator will be tasked with:
- Operating a flatbed vehicle for deliveries, with an average of 2-3 drops per shift.
- Ensuring all deliveries are executed efficiently across various locations.
- Utilizing ratchet strapping and chain strapping techniques, which are essential for securing loads.
This is an ongoing opportunity for the right individual.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- C+E entitlement on their driving licence.
- Prior experience in steel delivery.
- A valid Digital Tachograph and CPC Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points on their driving licence.
- Safety boots and a Hi-Vis vest.
- Essential strapping experience.
Job Type:
This is a temporary contract with a duration of 3 months. The pay rate ranges from £15.75 to £16.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Benefits:

Schedule:
- 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
Location:
This position requires the ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate prior to starting work.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of HGV driving experience.
Licences/Certifications:
- Driver CPC (mandatory).
Work Environment:
This role is conducted in person.
