Empowering Learning is in search of a committed and empathetic Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join our dedicated team, providing essential support to children with special educational needs (SEN) in a dynamic primary education setting.

This role presents a wonderful opportunity for individuals passionate about facilitating children's growth and success in a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Deliver personalized support to students with special educational needs, enabling them to engage with the curriculum and participate fully in their educational journey.

2. Assist in the execution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.

3. Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SEN Coordinator to modify learning resources and activities tailored to the requirements of SEN students.

4. Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
5. Aid students in enhancing their social skills, emotional management, and constructive behavior.
6. Provide assistance with personal care and mobility needs as necessary.
7. Track and document student progress, offering insights to the SEN Coordinator and teaching staff.
8. Encourage and foster independence and self-confidence in all students.

Requirements:
1. Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational context is highly desirable.
2. A sincere interest in aiding children with diverse needs.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
4. Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude towards working with children.
5. Capability to function effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
6. A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
7. Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are beneficial but not mandatory.
