Job Description

About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including Autism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students with Autism, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to create comprehensive support plans for students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and development, ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, promoting effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in SEN education.
  • Previous experience of working in a SEN school setting.
  • Strong understanding of different SEN needs and effective strategies for supporting students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Dedication to promoting inclusion and equality in education.
