Head of Engineering Opportunity

Location: Hertfordshire, with a requirement to be in the office two/three days a week.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to join our team as a Head of Engineering. The successful candidate will lead and manage an engineering function of approximately 30 people, with four direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a critical role in scaling the engineering department to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business.
  • Lead and manage the engineering function, with a focus on mentoring and developing talent.
  • Previous hands-on experience with Java or Kotlin is a bonus, but not essential.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams and scaling a function.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Package: Competitive salary around £140K base, plus bonus and additional benefits.
