Job Title: Gas Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team at RGR. As a Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, breakdowns, and minor installations in light commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out servicing, breakdowns, and minor installations in light commercial environments
  • Work on a variety of systems and boiler manufacturers
  • Provide detailed remedial repair reports with information of replacement component parts
  • Update company CAFM system with job notes and updates
  • Adhere to health and safety and compliance policies
Requirements:
  • Domestic Gas Safe Certificates: CCN1
  • Commercial Gas Safe Certificates: COCN1 or CODNCO1 or Commercial Changeover
  • Additional tickets such as Comcat, Oil, LPG would be beneficial
  • Experience carrying out maintenance and minor installations in commercial/light commercial environments
  • Able to legally work and drive in the UK
Benefits:
  • Permanent, PAYE position
  • Weekly pay schedule
  • Standard basic hours: 07:00am - 5:30pm including travel time
  • Locations: Reading and surrounding areas
  • Travel time: D2D pay minus 30 minutes each way
  • Overtime rates: x2
  • Call out rota: standby 1 in 4 weeks with £1,300 per year standby allowance and D2D travel at overtime rates if called out
  • Company van, fuel card, uniform, and phone provided
  • Company pension, 28 days paid annual leave, etc.
Training and Progression:

We will provide training and progression opportunities, including gas/HVAC courses such as Commercial Changeover, Comcat, LPG, and Oil, which will increase your hourly rate of pay once completed.
