About the Role

We're seeking a highly experienced Head of Computer Vision to lead our analytics product's scaling strategy and drive the development of our AI-based features. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing start-up and make a significant impact on the industry.

As a key member of our Leadership Team, you'll be responsible for guiding the expansion of our MLOps infrastructure, advocating for Data and ML as part of our strategic efforts, and working closely with our Operations team to execute our data scaling strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive scaling strategy for our AI-based product features
  • Manage the expansion of our MLOps infrastructure, with a focus on continuous learning and improvement
  • Advocate for Data and ML as part of the Leadership Team's strategic efforts
  • Work closely with our Operations team to execute our data scaling strategy
  • Design, implement, and manage ML algorithms to drive business value
  • Lead the development of hard Computer Vision features, such as visual weighing and health assessment for chickens
  • Lead and mentor the Computer Vision team, with the option of line managing it
About You
  • 5+ years of commercial Computer Vision experience
  • 3+ years of commercial Data Science experience
  • A strong understanding of MLOps and experience leading MLOps engineers
  • Experience with our tech stack: Python, OpenCV, PyTorch
  • MSc or PhD in a related subject matter
  • Strong leadership experience, including team management and Agile environments
  • Experience working with remote teams and commuting to our East London HQ approximately twice per week
  • Start-up / scaleup experience a bonus (we're working towards our Series A)
  • Ability to empathize with and mentor the team, and lead with kindness
  • Strong experience in taking research ideas into production at scale
  • A natural enthusiasm for keeping up to date with new technologies and methodologies
Compensation, Perks & Benefits
  • £90k-£120k depending on experience and location
