Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Outreach Tutor to join our team at Esland Care. As an Outreach Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing educational support to vulnerable children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our residential homes in Lincolnshire and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver face-to-face tuition to small groups and on a one-to-one basis, supporting children aged 7-18 years with SEMH and complex needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to supporting children's educational and emotional needs.
  • Assess and record children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching and learning within our homes, working closely with our education team to design and deliver engaging and effective educational programs.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of educational theory and practice, with a focus on SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, with a can-do attitude and a passion for delivering high-quality education.
