About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team in North Wales. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the preparation and supply of medicines and related products for service users within BCUHB.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of routine and non-routine duties in the dispensary, at ward level, and within our MHRA licensed Production Unit.
- Exercise autonomy and control in the performance of allocated duties within limits set by the Senior Pharmacy Technician supervising the section and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Liaise with pharmacy staff in all sectors and other healthcare professionals to ensure a patient-oriented medicines management service is provided.
- Work closely with pharmacy colleagues to adopt a team approach to medicines management, acting as a key member of the multidisciplinary and wider pharmacy team.
- Provide medicines management advice to healthcare professionals, patients, and carers.
Requirements
- Good organization and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Desirable: ability to speak Welsh.
